Fellow, Partnership for Better Health 

Attend board meetings and assist in the grant review process at Carlisle community organization funding health awareness and promotion in the region. Serve as a liaison to Cumberland Food Alliance Group. 

 

Intern, City of Pittsburgh Office of the Mayor Community Affairs 

Attended community development meetings learning about constituent concerns and promote sponsored programs by the Mayor’s office. Developed specific skills in research and developing policy, analyzing data and reports in Excel, and maintaining databases. 

 

Spanish Interpreter, Keystone Migrant Health Services 

Interpreted information spoken in Spanish to English for medical staff during clinic and farm visits during the apple picking season. Aided migrant farmworkers in filling out healthcare paperwork in Spanish.

 

Intern, Dickinson College Center for Sustainability Education (CSE) 

Advanced sustainability projects in collaboration with the CSE team. Specific projects include preparing and updating media; creating outreach e.g. photo galleries, bulletin boards, posters, handouts, and videos; and coordinating fall sustainability programming- projects with Eco-Reps, Biking at Dickinson, Sustain-It workshops, Dickinson bee co-operative, and waste minimization. 

 

Intern, Project SHARE

Worked with a local food pantry. Update recipient database, conduct interviews (in English and Spanish) with prospective clients, answer inquiries and correspondence, and prepare for monthly food distribution.

Baird Sustainability Fellow

Selected for a highly selective cohort program to receive specialized training in sustainability management. Collaborate on developing action plans to advance sustainability and raise awareness. Network with professionals to learn about practical approaches and potential obstacles. 

 

Community Engagement Fellow, Coordinator, Center for Civic Learning and Action 

Coordinate and train a group of 25 community service leader managing Dickinson’s student-run service programs. Run weekly meetings to explore connections between service and social justice, and the role of non-profit work in the community. Lead a two-week training to prepare students to be active interns at their placements and develop appropriate skill sets. 

 

Global Ambassador 

Represent “Dickinson in South America” in meetings and events and advise students on the program. Create and organize activities for program orientations, returning study abroad and international students.
